Consistency validation for SQL Server registry keys

Rule "Consistency validation for SQL Server registry keys" failed
The SQL Server registry keys from a prior installation cannot be modified. To Continue; see SQL Server Setup documentation about how to fix registry keys.

I have followed the below scenario, this helped me in installing the SQL server.

Copy the file from installable   SQL 2008 Standard edition R2\SQL2008R2Ent64Bit\x86\FixSqlRegistryKey_x86.exe

Paste the file in the below path.

 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\SQLServer2008R2\x64.

Rerun the Setup file.
